Organisers confirm when spectacular Christmas light show will to return to Wollaton Hall

Nottingham's Wollaton Hall is set to be transformed once again into a winter wonderland with the return of its Christmas light show. The show has sold out in previous years and tickets are expected to sell quickly for this year's event.

The trail, which leads through the hall grounds, attracts thousands of visitors looking for a little festive cheer each year. In previous years, the light show has used 5km of fairy lights with more than 70,000 bulbs to create the seasonal display. This year the show will open on Friday, December 2, until Sunday, January 1.

Now in its third year, the show has sold out in previous years with more than 100,000 people visiting the gardens to see the lights and lasers. The show could be seen for miles and was specially curated to suit the natural landscape and architecture of one of the most historic buildings in Nottingham.

The light show is also accompanied by a Christmas market and open-air terrace serving festive food and drink. Visitors need to book in advance to visit the show and tickets are already on sale for different time slots. This year tickets start from £21.45 for adults and £15.45 for children.

There are discounts available for Nottingham residents in certain time slots. Residents will need their council tax numbers and postcodes handy when booking tickets.

Wollaton Hall and Deer Park is run by Nottingham City Council and the display is organised in partnership with events team Kilimanjaro. The team are expected to announce more surprises for the event in the coming weeks.

A spokesperson commented “We’re excited for another spectacular Christmas event and want to thank everyone who has visited Christmas at Wollaton so far, for supporting our event.”
