Orestis Kiomourtzoglou loving Hearts life as he sends 'we're also quite good' Rangers message

Orestis Kiomourtzoglou says he's loved what he's saw of the home Hearts atmosphere so far - now he's keen to send a reminder in the thick of the battle against Rangers.

The former German youth midfielder has had all his paperwork cleared following a summer move from Heracles and made an impressive first start away at Motherwell last time out. His maiden Premiership bow at Tynecastle could come against Rangers on Saturday and he says that it'll be great to get on the park for Hearts. While he's aware of Rangers' quality, he believes Robbie Neilson's side also have more than enough to go toe-toe.

He said: "For me, it’s the first home match. Already I’ve been three times in the stadium but not on the pitch, so I’m looking forward to it. Everybody wants to play against the best teams and Rangers are one of those. But we’re also quite good!

“They have to come to us and think we have quite a good chance of winning the game. The matches I’ve watched from the stands, I’ve seen the fans screaming for every tackle, every time we win the ball and every sot.

"I can't wait to feel it myself on the pitch. When you're in the dressing room, the guys are talking fast and using slang. When two Scottish guys are talking to each other, it’s a little bit difficult for me!

"But I join in. When I first talked to the coach and the guys I asked: ‘Please, slow down so I understand everything!’ But I have to get used to it and after a couple of months, I’ll get it.”
