Move over Colorado-Oregon, and say hello to the real biggest storyline of Saturday’s college football slate: Deion Sanders versus Puddles, the Ducks mascot with a knack, or should we say quack, for a good troll.
The feud college football fans never knew they needed took center stage during pregame festivities in Eugene on Saturday afternoon, when Puddles donned a gigantic cowboy hat and pair of sunglasses as he walked onto the field.
The flashy attire was, of course, in reference to Sanders’s signature gameday look, which received much attention ahead of CU’s Sept. 16 win over Colorado State. To make the moment even better, Prime Time Puddles, presumably walking out to his theme music, took another shot at the Buffaloes’ first-year coach by destroying a prop clock bearing the word “prime” with a bat.

While Puddles’s theatrics added more fuel to an already-hot showdown between two top-20 teams, Sanders and Colorado enjoyed the last laugh moments later.
In the midst of wildly demolishing the phony clock, Puddles, literally, lost his head to briefly reveal the man inside the costume, much to the shock of Ducks fans in attendance.

Call it karma or a sign of things to come, but either way, neither Puddles nor Sanders will forget the day the Hall of Famer came to town, for one reason or another.
