The more we know about Abdul Ezedi, the sole suspect in the terrifying Clapham attack on Wednesday, the more troubling his case seems. He is now the subject of an intensive police manhunt which extends from London to Newcastle.
He came from Afghanistan to Britain on the back of a lorry in 2016. He was convicted of sexual assault/exposure in 2018 and was still granted asylum on the third time of trying in 2021 or 2022 after he claimed to have converted to Christianity and thus faced the risk of persecution in his home country.
