Sadiq Khan, speaking today at SXSW London, is calling on social media firms to prove their platforms are safe to use, amid calls for the UK to follow Australia in banning access for under-16s.
However, even the Mayor acknowledges that a ban alone will not solve all the issues, warning: “Rather than just restricting access to social media, we must reimagine it.”
