Operation Mojo in Kolkata: 27 commandos, 75 mins, no loss of life after initial shooting

KOLKATA: Operation Mojo, a 75-minute operation to isolate and disarm CISF head constable Akshay Kumar Mishra armed with AK-47, was achieved on Saturday night without a single bullet being fired by the 27-member Kolkata Police commandos on the Indian Museum campus.

It, however, took 45 minutes of intense convincing, mostly in Hindi and partly in English, by two officers - Kolkata Police's DCP (central) and a CISF deputy commandant - and a risky effort - to walk inside the CISF armoury completely unarmed - to win the assailant's confidence.
