With Easter weekend here people may be ready to sign off for the weekend from work and head out to join friends or family for a weekend of celebration.
While Ireland has been heading in a cashless direction for some time now, withdrawing some funds from the banks, or depositing some of the week’s hard-earned cash, before the weekend might be on a few people’s minds.
To help with this we put together a list of all of the bank opening hours for the major banks in Ireland over the Easter weekend.

AIB opening hours
- Thursday, April 6 – Normal hours
- Good Friday, April 7 – Closed
- Monday, April 10 – Closed
However, All AIB self-service lobbies are open from 8am until 9pm every day - so you can still withdraw or deposit money.
Bank of Ireland opening hours
- Thursday, April 6 – Normal hours
- Good Friday, April 7 2023 – Closed
- Easter Monday, April 10 2023 – Closed
Permanent TSB opening hours
- Thursday, April 6 – Normal hours
- Good Friday, April 7 2023 - Closed
- Easter Monday, April 10 2023 - Closed
The bank also urged customers to be aware that payments sent from Good Friday to Easter Monday will be processed on Tuesday, April 11.
Post Office opening hours
Post offices across the country will be open on Good Friday, but with limited opening hours.
The Department of Social Protection has confirmed that post offices around the country will be open until 1pm on Good Friday, 7 April.
On Good Friday Friday 7 April 2023, there will be full Postal delivery services in the Dublin area and towns in rural areas.
However, They will be shut on Saturday 8 April and Easter Monday 10 April 2023 but Post offices will reopen as normal on Tuesday, April 11.
