When I go into the woods for a rip or to hunt and fish, I tend to go solo. I like my solitude and would absolutely be that hermit everyone in town talks about if I didn't have a family. But when I go with others, it's usually with a larger group, all with their own wants and desires, and tendencies to go off on their own little side quests. That can be a pain not only to manage, but also to keep everyone up to date on where everyone else is and safe.
Our friends at onX Maps, however, have been working on a feature to help combat those wandering friends—let's be honest, it's me; I wander—with an all-new feature that's designed to keep everyone connected even when you're out in the woods. Basically, it's like Apple's location sharing in that you can offer up your location to other onX Maps' users with the Hunt and Off-Road apps and see where they are in real time.
