OnlyFans model from Cheshire swaps her £1million penthouse for builder's van

An OnlyFans model converted a builder's van into her "dream home" and swapped her million pound penthouse for life on the road. Honour May Spencer, 26, fully renovated her 2019 Mercedes Sprinter van, including completing the insulation, wiring, plumbing and even tiling the shower herself.

Honour, from Knutsford, calls the van "Liberté", and describes it as an “attention-grabbing high-class studio apartment on wheels”. With no previous DIY experience, the 26-year-old credits YouTube for teaching her the skills for the conversion.

She now travels around the UK creating content for her OnlyFans and “Girls That Travel” Instagram and YouTube account, which still nets her a healthy £4,000-a-month, The Mirror reports. She said: "It was just a shell when I bought it back in November 2020.

"I’ve done everything myself from insulating it, putting in a vapour barrier to making it into a home with a full tiled bathroom and dining area. It even has a full-sized wardrobe and storage for almost all of my high heels. And I have a lot of shoes. I even put in skirting boarding and decorative trim to make it look and feel like a high-class London apartment."

In addition to the shower, Honour's van features a full-size gas cooker and a seating area which folds out into a king-size bed. She shares the van with her two cocker spaniels; Marcia, three, and eight-month-old puppy Marie, reports CheshireLive.

Honour says that she chose the dramatic change in living arrangements after having to work seven days a week as a model, cam girl and adult performer for years on end to keep up her lavish lifestyle. She said that the workload had a negative affect on her mental health and relationships.

Despite earning around £120,000-a-year and living in a luxury sea-view villa in Brighton, she said it didn’t make her happy because she had no time to enjoy it. Honour said that, during 2019, she had only spent nine full weeks at home due to travelling for work commitments.

In November 2020, Honour bought her first van, only to have the part-converted vehicle stolen in a car park in Leeds six months later. She would lose almost £40,000 in the theft, and her insurance company refused to cover the cost as Honour had listed herself as a photographer rather than a model.

The incident left a permanent mark on her insurance history and raised her premiums by £4,950 a year. £20,000 and 12 months later, Honour had converted her new mobile home.

She added: "I’m all set to leave for Europe in August with my two little dogs. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am to finally have my dream home and the freedom to enjoy it. I’ve had such an emotional journey there has been so many final straw moments in these last two years that so almost made me throw in the towel, give up and say goodbye to my van life dream forever.

"But these last few weeks have shown me that all of my hard work and perseverance has truly paid off. I love my new home so much and wouldn’t change anything about my van life journey. The last four weeks have been absolutely phenomenal. The one thing I never expected with how amazingly inclusive the van life community is.

"No matter where you are from, what you do for a living or how much you have spent on your van the van life UK community accepts you. Something I have always struggled with in the past due to the prejudice about people working in the adult industry but even over this short amount of time I have made so many new friends.

"I finally feel I am able to be my true self. I’m so lucky to have this opportunity to travel and explore in my van and I’m really looking forward to launching my YouTube channel."

Honour shared her story as removal firm TheManVan revealed that an increasing number of people are enquiring about buying its vans and converting them into homes. They said it is no mean feat and paid tribute to Honour’s commitment but with the increasing cost of living crisis it is being seen as an increasingly viable option.
