Only one female in the royal family is exempt from curtsying under strict protocol

There is only one female member of the royal family exempt from curtseying.

Strict protocol requires women to follow the rules when it comes to the correct greeting for more senior members of the household - and following the Queen's death, the firm has new requirements.

After May 9, 2023, and the new King Charles III's coronation new protocol will be set in stone as the royal couple's titles are made official - with Camilla no longer required to curtsy to anyone.
