Chinese electronics brand OnePlus are back with some exciting new developments at a launch event they are calling Cloud 11 to honour their latest smartphone as well as some exciting new devices.
From the GMR Aerocity in New Deli, India, OnePlus has pulled out all the stops to show off its new line up including a brand new flagship phone, tablet, new earbuds and even a keyboard.
Taking to the stage CEO of OnePlus India Navnit Nakra kicked off the event by talking about the history of OnePlus.
OnePlus 11
Introduced by Tuomas Lampan as the "boldest design yet, designed to stand out at every level" OnePlus newest flagship smartphone was the main event we were all waiting for.
The OnePlus 11 is their latest flagship smartphone, comes in two colours Eternal Green and Titan Black and features a redesigned camera module as well as the return of the fan favourite alert slider.
The display is a 6.7-Inch screen with a resolution of up to 3216 x 1440 ad supports up to 120 Hz refresh rate.
It's incredibly powerful utilising the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor which delivers 35% faster CPU output as well as 25% GPU output and Ray-Tracing supported, while also improving battery efficiency.
This fast power is supported by the latest LDDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage making it a performance powerhouse.
The new triple camera system includes an IMX890 50MP main sensor, an IMX58 48MP ultra-wide camera and an IMX709 32MP portrait lens. This is enhanced by the 3rd Generation Hasselblad colour calibration.
The OnePlus 11 uses a 5000 mAh battery which supports 100W fast charging which takes 25 mins to fully charge.
It is priced at £729 for the 8GB / 128GB model and £799 for the 16GB / 256GB model and will go on sale on 16 February at 9AM UK time at OnePlus.com and Amazon.
Plus all customers who pre-order the OnePlus 11 will receive a free gift, including a Bang & Olufsen Speaker or a pair of OnePlus Buds Pro 2.
OnePlus Pad
Spenser Blank OnePlus Head of PR & Communications, North America then announced OnePlus's first foray into tablet territory with the Oneplus Pad.
It will be constructed out of machined aluminium alloy and will feature a smooth metallic texture but will be available in just one colour, Halo Green.
Their new tablet is a huge 11-inch, 2800 x 2000 pixels 144Hz refresh rate display featuring Dolby Vision. The screen uses a 7:5 aspect ratio which makes it comfortable for reading and browsing web pages.
It uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, which is a high-performance, octa-core, 4mn chip and is the same as the Honor 70 Pro+, Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro and many others.
OnePlus Pad also comes with up to 12GB RAM and Their new RAM-Vita technology which allows further multitasking and up to 24 separate apps open simultaneously.
The battery is a massive 9510mAh unit which supports fast charging up to 67W and can be fully charged in 80 minutes and will be able to hold its charge for up to 1 month of standby.
Connectivity has been improved with OnePlus devices to create a seamless sharing experience. It will also use cellular data sharing to efficiently share 5G data from mobile to tablet while reducing battery drain.
A stylus and magnetic keyboard accessories will also be available.
OnePlus Buds Pro 2
One Plues's latest iteration of their true wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 were also introduced by Aske Kjaer, Product PR Lead Europe. They are available in three colours Arbor Green, Obsidian Black and Misty White.
Looking very similar to their previous OnePlus Buds Pro the Buds Pro 2 feature a host of upgrades under the hood for audiophiles.
The new buds feature their new Melody Boost Dual Driver System which combines a 6mm Tweeter and 11 Woofer to ensure a wider audio range meaning your vocal will be crystal clear but without sacrificing bass tones.
LHDC 5.0 or Low Latency High-Definition Audio Codec will be included in a software update in the next few months, offering high audio quality with low latency.
Personalised audio is also featured allowing the buds to be tailored to your hearing and preferences with OnePlus Auio ID2.0. Spacial Audio is also supported with head tracking offering a more immersive experience.
A short video then showed legendary score composer Hans Zimmer talking about SoundScape Tuning a unique feature to the Buds Pro 2.
ANC has been improved with the new buds offering better background noise cancellation up to 48 dB.
Total Battery life will be 39 hours with each bud will be 9 hours with a short 10 min charge lasting up to 10 hours, it also supports wireless charging.
The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will cost £179 and be available to Pre-order now and will be available to buy from February 16, 2023.
The OnePlus Featuring Keyboard 81 Pro
In a fascinating move, OnePlus also unveiled their first-ever mechanical keyboard is fully customizable and features Keychron technology.
This keyboard software and layout are designed to be equally comfortable and compatible with all major operating systems including MacOS, Windows and Linux and Android OS.
Featuring an aluminium body it features some interesting Oneplus touches that make it stand out like a OnePlus red ‘esc’ key as well as a customizable rotary knob, which feels very retro. It also includes the iconic OnhePlus alert slider adapted from OnePlus smartphones.
The keys are swappable linear and tactile switches that are bouncy yet durable.
In fact, users can use open-source firmware such as QMK and VIA to remap their keys and set multiple RGB lighting effects.
OnePlus divulged that the keyboard will be available to buy in April 2023 meaning keyboard wizards won;y have long to wait.
