
Exactly 11 days before the first anniversary of the Marshall Fire – the most devastating blaze in the history of Colorado – the flames came back.
The wind, again, whipped up, the smell and sight of smoke permeating Boulder County in an eerie replication of conditions that last holiday season left two dead and more than 1,000 homes destroyed.
