Yet another vehicle has crashed into a bridge in Swansea which has become a prolific hotspot for accidents. Traffic was brought to a standstill this afternoon as the vehicle found itself lodged beneath the Victoria Road, Gowerton, bridge, which has quite the track record of like incidents taking place there.
South Wales Police went to the scene to help with traffic management after a white van became trapped beneath the bridge whilst attempting to drive through it during the lunchtime rush hour, at around 12.35pm.
A nearby witness told WalesOnline that a recovery van arrived and let the air in its rear tyres down as part of efforts to pull the vehicle free and allow the free flow of traffic to continue. Cars were on stop as the incident played out. You can get more Swansea news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
