ONE of three people facing drug supply charges after police raided a home at Kurri Kurri in June last year has denied the more serious charges against her.
Mikayla Tennant, 25, faces five charges. She entered what Magistrate Janine Lacy described as a 'mixed bag' of pleas in Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday.
Tennant pleaded guilty to possession of 20 grams of cannabis leaf and supplying 3.5 grams of cocaine.
Tennant has pleaded not guilty to supplying 354.4 grams of methylamphetamine, 2059.3 grams of tetrahydrocannabinol and two grams of cocaine. She has been committed to trial in the district court for August 29 on those charges.
Strike Force Raptor North detectives charged Tennant, her partner Tyson Leota, 24, and her sister Samatha Tennant, 28 after an investigation was launched in 2023 into the supply of drugs and firearm offences in the Hunter.
The trio lived together at a home in Kurri Kurri, which was raided on June 6, 2023.
During the search, investigators allege they found $6515, approximately 50 buprenorphone 'bupe' film strips, a plastic resealable bag containing 401 grams of methylamphetamine, 20 grams of cannabis and two THC infused candies weighed at 2.65 kilograms.
Tennant's mobile was also seized and a search of her phone revealed an encrypted messaging app called 'Threema' which police allege shows she was involved in drug supply with Leota.
Leota has pleaded guilty to supplying a large commercial quantity of drugs.
