Tragedy struck in Oklahoma City early Saturday morning as a shooting incident at a party resulted in one fatality and at least 12 individuals sustaining gunshot wounds. The incident took place at an event center around 12:30 a.m. local time, where a verbal altercation between two groups escalated into violence.
Sergeant Jon Skuta of the Oklahoma City Police Department reported that the altercation spilled into a parking lot, leading to shots being fired. The confrontation then moved back inside the event center, where the shooting continued. Authorities have indicated that this incident appears to be isolated.
