One injured as plane hits truck and highway light pole before landing

Federal authorities are investigating after a United Airlines passenger jet struck a light pole and a tractor-trailer near Newark Liberty International Airport.
United Airlines Flight 169, a Boeing 767-400 arriving from Venice, Italy, landed safely on Sunday afternoon despite the incident.
No passengers or crew members were injured, but the tractor-trailer driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital before being released.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched investigations into the incident.
United Airlines has removed the crew from service and is evaluating damage to the aircraft, with a preliminary NTSB report expected within 30 days.
