One in four Brits describe themselves as “true believers” of extra-terrestrial life – with a third of these claiming to have spotted a UFO.
A study of 2,000 adults found 37% reckon they’ve witnessed something “out of the ordinary” – although 35% put it down to an optical illusion.
But not everyone has been quite so accepting – with 58% reporting their possible sighting to the police.
