The RSPCA is looking for a forever home for a cute sausage dog with one eye and no teeth - that was about to be put down by its owner. Whisky had been used as a breeding dog and suffered from multiple health issues when he was rescued.
A vet had the dog at their practice with an owner who wanted him put down - but animal welfare officials stepped in. Whisky has a detached retina, rotten teeth and his back legs are very weak - meaning he was walking on his knees.
He immediately saw a local vet and was put on pain relief which after a few days meant he was able to walk on his feet again. Since then he has gone from strength in a foster home but now he needs surgery and a family of his own.
