The sister of One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has confirmed the safe arrival of her first child. Lottie and former professional tennis player Lewis Burton have become first-time parents to a baby boy two years after going public with their relationship. The 24-year-old make-up artist, the younger sister of singer Louis who shot to fame as one-fifth of the X Factor-formed boyband, announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday night (August 10).
She shared a black and white photo of the child’s torso alongside the caption: “Dreams do come true,” before adding a red heart emoji. Lewis, 30, who was previously in a relationship with late Love Island presenter Caroline Flack, posted a photo of Lottie and wrote: "Very proud of you, we are both lucky to have you."
Lottie’s sister Phoebe celebrated by sharing a photo of her sibling holding her baby bump, adding: “I am so beyond proud of you. He is perfect. Love you both.”
Lottie and Lewis have been in a relationship since July 2020 and announced they were expecting a child together in February this year. The social media star shared a pair of beautiful images to share the joyful news to her fans. In one image, the then mum-to-be could be seen sitting on bent legs and holding onto her blossoming bump, while dressed in knickers and a crop top.
A second snap showed Lottie beaming as Lewis joined her and lovingly caressed her stomach. Lottie simply captioned the snaps: "Just the three of us," before being flooded with congratulatory messages.
Just a few weeks later, they revealed the gender of their baby, posting a clip in which Lottie and Lewis could be seen releasing a cannon of blue confetti and powder. She simply captioned the video "Our little baby...." followed by a white love heart.
The pair have both experienced tragedy in recent years. Lewis' ex-girlfriend Caroline died by suicide in February 2020. Lottie's sister Felicite died of an accidental overdose three years after her mother Johannah died of leukaemia in 2016.
Lottie and Lewis reportedly got to know each other at a party in May 2020, hosted by Flack’s close friend Lou Teasdale to mark three months since the death of the Love Island host.
