A three-car crash on the NSW South Coast has taken the life of one person and put four others in hospital.
Emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, five kilometres south of Narooma, late on Friday afternoon to reports of the crash.
A northbound Audi SUV and southbound Toyota Camry sedan had collided on the highway, which caused a white Volkswagen station wagon to crash.
The driver of the Camry, a 39-year-old woman, died at the scene.
Her passengers, two brothers aged 18 and 15, were both airlifted to a Sydney hospital with the youngest in a critical condition and the eldest in a serious condition.
The Audi driver, a 40-year-old man, and his passenger, a 31-year-old woman, were airlifted to another Sydney hospital. The woman is stable and the man is in a serious but stable condition.
All five occupants of the Volkswagen were uninjured but the 34-year-old woman driver was hospitalised for observation.
A crime scene was established and police are now calling for witnesses or anyone with daschcam footage.
Investigations are underway and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
