One person has died following a horror three-vehicle crash on a busy Scots road.
Emergency services raced to the A90, near Longhaven in Aberdeenshire, after the alarm was raised at around 10.35am on Wednesday. Ambulance crews attended, but it's now been confirmed that one person has died.
Another person was rushed to hospital as a precaution. Police closed the road for several hours while emergency teams dealt with the incident.
A picture taken from the scene showed fire and ambulance crews in attendance. Officers say their enquiries into the crash remain ongoing. The road has now reopened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “One person has died and another person taken to hospital as a precaution following a road crash on A90, near Longhaven, Aberdeenshire around 10.35am on Wednesday, December 28.
“Enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing. The road is now open.”
