It's safe to say that property doesn't come cheap these days, and if you're a prospective buyer you've probably noticed that prices have gone through the roof. Not at 3 Dick Road in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, however, as this property is up for sale for just £10,000. The catch? It's deemed a 'great refurbishment project'.
The flat is currently 'uninhabitable', so if you're looking for a place that you can move straight into - this isn't it. But for just £10k it boasts some decent features which are great for a first-time buyer looking for a big challenge, or a property developer.

The one-bed property is set to go under the hammer on Friday, September 2, with a guide price of £10,000.
Pictures have shown that the flat needs some serious TLC, however, and is not a task for the faint-hearted. If you're looking for a fully-furnished property, now may be the time to look away. At 3 Dick Road, there are holes in the floorboards and the ceilings, and the flat has detritus everywhere.
The selling agents said: "It may not appeal to everyone, however with a price starting at just £10,000 it’s a hard deal for any property developer to turn down."
However, it's not all doom and gloom for the flat - it's currently the cheapest property for sale in the town, and boasts great transport links as it's close to the M77 motorway.
The flat's original layout includes an entrance hallway, living room, galley kitchen and a bathroom, but it needs a full refurbishment throughout.
Mandi Cooper, Managing Director of Auction House Scotland said: "With a guide price of £10,000, this property has already been attracting a lot of attention ahead of our September auction.
"Although currently inhabitable, it would make for a great refurbishment project and offers a potential buyer an exciting opportunity to add value.
"Once completed, the flat could be used as a buy-to-let property with a potential annual rental income of £4,189 (at Local Housing Allowance rates)."
The property will be going under the hammer at Auction House Scotland’s in-room auction taking place at 2pm on Friday September 2 at the Radisson RED hotel, 25 Tunnel Street, Glasgow.
