One analysts thinks Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the sixth best receiver available in the NFL draft

With the NFL combine upon us, many draft projections will be brought to light and this one regarding Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba seems a bit odd.

We all know what transpired this past season with JSN unable to shake a hamstring injury he suffered in the season opener against Notre Dame. He tried to get back on the field but ultimately shut it down in preparation for the NFL draft.

This week will be big for him, JSN needs to show NFL teams that he is healthy ahead of potentially being selected. For the most part, mock drafts have him going in the first round. FOX Sports Rob Rang disagrees.

There is a big-time argument to be made about where JSN should land on this list, he’s at worst the third-best receiver in this draft, even with injury concerns. Not one name on this list put up numbers that the Buckeye did, let alone as a sophomore. Tennessee’s Jalin Hyatt did score more touchdowns, but he didn’t have to share the ball with two other first-round picks.

Rang is completely off-base with this list. Smith-Njigba is almost a lock to be selected in the first round and this list can be put into the trash.
