An Israeli passenger filmed scenes of panic aboard a FlyDubai flight after an alleged attack in the cockpit forced the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday.
Miryam Shira Ochayon, who was returning to Israel after spending months traveling in Asia, filmed passengers screaming and praying as the plane descended toward Tabuk.
According to the footage and the provided storyline, the Omani co-pilot allegedly stabbed the captain. Passengers said the Indian captain opened the cockpit door, allowing them to intervene and restrain the attacker.
After the emergency landing in Tabuk, passengers applauded and sang “Am Yisrael Chai” — “The People of Israel Live.” A passenger who helped subdue the co-pilot told others, “Guys, we have landed, we won,” while raising his hand in a victory sign.
