Matthew MacDermid will referee Celtic’s Premiership visit to St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday night.
The 33-year-old has been appointed for the 8pm fixture in Perth. Ross Macleod and David Dunne will be the assistant referees.
Grant Irvine will operate VAR, with Duncan Williams as assistant VAR. Dan McFarlane has been named fourth official.
It will be MacDermid’s second Celtic appointment of the season. He oversaw the club’s 1-0 Premiership victory over Dundee at Celtic Park on August 3, showing two yellow cards.

MacDermid took charge of three Celtic matches during the 2025/26 campaign. His first was a 2-0 defeat away to Dundee in October.
He later refereed Celtic’s 4-2 win over Livingston and their 6-2 Scottish Cup quarter-final victory against St Mirren.
MacDermid was also the referee for Celtic’s 1-2 Premiership defeat by Hibernian at Celtic Park in February. He showed three yellow cards and a red card during that match.
Celtic travel to Perth seeking a result against St Johnstone. The appointment gives MacDermid another Celtic fixture after his involvement in their win over Dundee this season.
