KOLKATA: Some artistes want 40 mineral water bottles, some want dedicated butlers or a black coffee machine in the backstage. Some even specify the brand for chilled energy drinks. It's been some years now since event managers have been receiving lists of hospitality riders from outstation artists' managers before hosting shows in Kolkata. Local artists, too, are following suit.
Gourab Ghoshal of BlackEyed Event Management, who coordinated with TribeVibe and KK's manager, said, "KK's team sent the tech rider. He didn't get light engineers from Mumbai. But almost all Mumbai artists get their own light and sound engineers for their Kolkata concerts. KK didn't have any refreshment specifications."
Tochon Ghosh, who organized a show by Arijit Singh some time ago, said seven trucks ferried light and sound equipment from Mumbai. "Others, like Shreya Ghoshal, want us to show them all the permissions," Ghosh said.
