Former aide to Donald Trump and “Apprentice” star Omarosa Manigault Newman has made a notable appearance at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. She joins a growing list of former Trump allies who have been seen at the event, including former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham and Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen.

Manigault Newman, known for her controversial rise to fame on the first season of “The Apprentice,” was fired from the White House in 2017 by then-White House chief of staff John Kelly. Her departure was marked by criticism for recording the firing, which occurred in the White House Situation Room where electronic devices are prohibited.

Despite the contentious nature of her exit, President Trump initially expressed gratitude for her service, wishing her continued success. However, their relationship deteriorated after Manigault Newman published a tell-all memoir in which she likened Trump to a “cult leader,” prompting him to denounce her as “a low-life.”

Manigault Newman’s recent presence at the Democratic National Convention was highlighted by a social media post showing her support for her alma mater, Howard University, where Vice President Kamala Harris also attended. The event has drawn attention as Democrats gather to support Harris’ nomination this week.
