Omar Marmoush set for Man City exit as he heads for Tottenham medical

  • Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a season-long loan deal with Manchester City for Egypt forward Omar Marmoush, which includes an obligation to buy the 27-year-old for £60 million next summer.
  • Marmoush is scheduled to undergo a medical in London before finalising his transfer, which will see Manchester City recoup the £59 million fee paid to Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025.
  • The Egyptian international scored 16 goals in 62 appearances during his tenure at Manchester City, where he primarily served as an understudy to Erling Haaland.
  • The move marks Spurs' second capture from City in quick succession following the arrival of winger Savio for an initial £75 million, joining other major summer signings including Sandro Tonali and Andy Robertson.
  • Manager Roberto De Zerbi will hope the additions bolster Tottenham's squad following an opening weekend 3-0 defeat to Brentford and consecutive 17th-place Premier League finishes.
