A former Olympic swimming team physiotherapist's technique when massaging teen girls was examined by police as part of an investigation into alleged child sexual abuse, a magistrate has heard.

Peter John Wells faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday for the start of a committal hearing to determine if there is sufficient evidence for him to stand trial for alleged repeated sexual contact with five girls and indecent assault of two others.
