Olympic Games: Australians in action on day seven in Paris

Kaylee McKeown will aim to complete the first “double-double” by an Australian swimmer defending a pair of Olympic titles when she races in the 200m backstroke, while Cameron McEvoy is through to the men’s 50m freestyle final.

Australia have three medal fancies in BMX racing, led by Saya Sakakibara in the women’s and Izaac Kennedy in the men’s finals at Paris 2024.

Athletics ramps up including with Tokyo bronze medallist Ashley Moloney in the men’s decathlon, and Nicola Olyslagers hoping to go one better than three years ago as women’s high jump kicks off.

Australia’s co-flag bearer and Paris 2024 dual gold medallist, Jessica Fox, is back in action, this time alongside sister Noemie Fox, in kayak cross time trial.

The Boomers round out their group with a must-win game, as the Gangurrus eye top spot on the women’s 3x3 basketball table in a double-header.

Super heavyweight Teremoana Teremoana takes on the reigning Olympic champion, while Tina Rahimi also continues her boxing campaign.
