Triple Olympic champion swimmer Adam Peaty dropped into Bathgate Xcite to share his know-how with young athletes.
The West Lothian Leisure team were delighted to welcome Adam and the AP Race Clinics team to the pool last weekend.
The swimming champion and his team of professional coaches are currently touring the UK, hosting a series of race clinics designed to inspire future stars of the swimming world.
Xcite Bathgate was the only Scottish date on the tour, with young swimmers and coaches from all over the country in attendance.
The event, which was open to swimmers from ages eight to 17, was split into a number of workshops, with training in the pool led by Adam Peaty and British champion swimmer Ed Baxter.
Participants also attended an on-land fitness session
and a workshop focusing on athlete mindset and mental performance.
There was also a ‘parent support’ session offering advice to parents of young athletes on how to best support them on their journey.
At the conclusion of the day, the young swimmers had the opportunity to meet Adam, ask questions and even get up close with his Olympic gold medals.
