Olympian Aly Raisman recently opened up about her harrowing health struggles, revealing that she was hospitalized twice for stroke-like symptoms. The first incident occurred in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she experienced difficulty speaking and slurring her words. Raisman recounted feeling scared and disoriented, unable to even remember her own name or communicate properly.
Having previously endured sexual abuse by former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar, Raisman shared that she was still grappling with PTSD during these health crises. Her second hospitalization took place last year, during which she required assistance with basic tasks like walking and using the bathroom.
