The former CEO of D&D London — now Evolv — is returning to restaurants with a trio of new businesses that come as part of the £1.3bn redevelopment of Olympia, in Kensington. The redevelopment has been described as “like Vegas without the sin”.
Des Gunewardena, who founded and now runs the D3 Collective, will open his three restaurants inside Olympia’s 30,000 square foot Pillar Hall in the spring of 2026. The ornate, Grade II hall is a grand, opulent space built in 1886, which a century later became known for hosting the first-ever fashion shows for Vivienne Westwood and Zandra Rhodes.
