Olly Murs has revealed he was once attacked by a peanut while on stage and said he had to stop his performance after the experience "rocked" him.
Musicians often have things thrown at them by fans while performing, with Tom Jones famously having underwear launched at him and One Direction being thrown mobile phones to take selfies with.
But 38-year-old Olly said he was instead hit in the head with a peanut while performing at an 18th birthday party. He added how he rarely gets angry during performances but was forced to stop singing after the ordeal.
Olly said: "It hurt. I was at this 18th birthday party at this lovely house. I rarely lose my cool or get angry on stage. But this was someone’s house.
"It was pitch black and I could not see. I was about four or five songs in and I see this peanut come flying towards me," he told Heart Bingo.
Olly added: "All I can see as I am singing is a peanut just flying towards my face and it hit me on my forehead. Honestly, it proper rocked me.
"I had to stop the song. I said, 'can we stop, stop, stop song. Who the hell threw the peanut?'."
The Troublemaker singer also said he was thrown passports and lipsticks when he toured with One Direction.
Olly has recently been recovering from a torn meniscus in his knee, after jumping on stage last year and having something "pop" in his leg.
He said: "I had to unfortunately cancel a lot of work, but your health is your wealth. I am just recovering now but I should be good."
The singer-songwriter also proposed to his long-term bodybuilder girlfriend Amelia Tank last month while the pair were enjoying a romantic getaway.
Olly managed to capture the sweet moment on camera.
The clip shows Amelia, 30, jump into his arms before passionately kissing him after he popped the question.
The couple first met in a gym and started off as just friends, but soon started a relationship.
"After two or three days, me and Amelia looked at each other and said, ‘Yeah, this is kind of it now, isn’t it?’ We both told each other that we loved each other," Olly told new! magazine.
He added: "Amelia said, 'I knew straight away that you were who I was going to spend the rest of my life with', and I said the same."
