Olivia Wilde has seemingly revealed the recipe for her “special” salad dressing that she allegedly made for Harry Styles amid her break-up from Jason Sudeikis, in response to a now-deleted Daily Mail report.

Over the weekend, the Daily Mail published an interview with the couple’s former nanny, in which she shared the alleged details of Wilde’s and Sudeikis’s break up.

She alleged that while filming Don’t Worry Darling, Wilde left Sudeikis at home to have dinner with Styles, taking her salad with her special dressing with her.

In response to the nanny’s allegations, Wilde and Sudeikis made a joint statement to People magazine claiming that the woman had been harassing them.

They said: “As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly.

“Her now 18-month-long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends, and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex.

“We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”

But the people following the ongoing Don’t Worry Darling drama have been preoccupied with one element in particular: the salad dressing.

Although Wilde (and Sudeikis) dismissed the claims as “false and scurrilous”, Wilde has seemed to acknowledge that part of her report was true: she does indeed have a special salad dressing.

Early on Wednesday, Wilde took to Instagram to share a page from Nora Ephron’s novel Heartburn that details a salad-dressing recipe, leading many to believe this is the recipe she used for her dinners with Styles.

So, to make your own vinaigrette and to find out what makes it so special, see the recipe below.

How to make Olivia Wilde’s special salad dressing

According to the page from Ephron’s novel, the recipe for the salad dressing only requires three ingredients: Grey Poupon mustard, red wine vinegar, and olive oil.

The method is as follows: “Mix two tablespoons Grey Poupon mustard with two tablespoons good red wine vinegar.

“Then, whisking constantly with a fork, slowly add six tablespoons olive oil, until the vinaigrette is thick and creamy; this makes a very strong vinaigrette that’s perfect for salad greens like arugula and watercress and endive.”
