Olivia Rodrigo launches new all-woman festival with music icons for charity

  • Olivia Rodrigo has announced Daisy Chain Fields , a new music festival scheduled for 29 August in Irvine, California, featuring an all-woman line-up of artists.
  • The festival's line-up includes prominent figures such as Stevie Nicks , Chappell Roan , Doechii, K-Pop group Katseye, Rachel Chinouriri and Sarah McLachlan, with Rodrigo expressing excitement for the "insane" roster of "heroes and friends."
  • One hundred per cent of the net proceeds from Daisy Chain Fields will be donated to charities dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls, reflecting Rodrigo's commitment to social causes.
  • Rodrigo revealed that the festival was inspired by Lilith Fair, co-founded by Sarah McLachlan, and its promotional artwork notably includes a "Bans off our bodies" pin, referencing the US abortion rights campaign.
  • The Grammy-winning singer hopes the festival will foster a "hippie girl, riot grrrl punk type of thing" atmosphere, emphasising joy, community, and music as drivers of meaningful change, with all participating artists foregoing profit.
