Olivia Rodrigo took a doozy of a fall through her on-stage trapdoor during her Melbourne show on Monday night.
The Guts singer was hyping up the crowd in between songs at the Rod Laver Arena when she ran across the stage, falling down an open trap door.
The crowd’s cheers began to sound a little bit alarmed before the “Bad Idea” singer emerged, telling the crowd she was alright.
“Oh my god, that was fun,” she told the crowd.
“I’m okay,” she told her worried fans.
“Sometimes there is just a hole in the stage, that’s all right. Okay … where was I? How are you doing tonight Melbourne!”
You can watch the moment below. And thanks to the magic of social media, there are a bunch of different angles.
You can really hear the smack from that last one, hey?
Following the show, fans took to social media to share their worries for the star.
“Okay but in all seriousness, I just saw another angle of her fall and it looked like it REALLY HURT. I hope she’s okay, we love you Liv!” wrote one fan.
“Olivia proving the haters she sings live one fall at a time,” wrote another.
Although it sounded pretty brutal, Olivia is a tough cookie and recovered like an absolute champ. Taking to TikTok, she shared a clip of the incident, captioning it “#subtleforeshadowing”.
Kudos to Olivia for brushing it off and continuing on with the show. Nobody ever said being a pop star was easy!
