Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman has been announced as the latest star joining the sixth series of Only Murders In The Building.
The 52-year-old star will appear in the upcoming season of the US crime comedy, which follows a crime-solving trio who have a podcast about murders committed in their swanky New York City apartment building.
Many famous British faces are appearing in the new season, which is set in London for the first time, including Geri Halliwell-Horner, Martin Freeman, Jamie Demetriou and Sir Derek Jacobi.
Colman was revealed as the latest addition to the show in a video shared to its official Instagram on Tuesday.
The short clip opens with Selena Gomez, who stars as Mabel Mora in the Emmy-winning show and is flanked by Hollywood actress Meryl Streep.
“We have had so many amazing guest stars for Only Murders in London,” the singer and actress says.
Oscar-winner Streep, who portrays quirky actress Loretta Durkin in the series, adds: “Yeah, but we’re just missing one.”
Canadian comedian and actor Martin Short, who stars as part of the crime-solving trio alongside Steve Martin and Gomez, exclaims “this is so exciting” as he jokingly interrupts the video.
The group then reveal their newest cast member Colman, who is seen smiling and curtsying while wearing a brown maxi dress.
The upcoming series will follow the amateur detective crew as they venture across the pond to investigate the death of Cinda Canning (Tina Fey).
Colman, famous for roles in The Favourite, The Crown, Broadchurch and Fleabag, is the latest addition to the hit programme, joining stars including David Tennant, Jennifer Saunders and Richard Ayoade.
Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan is also among the celebrities appearing in the sixth series of Only Murders In The Building, and she shared a post to Instagram on Tuesday gushing about how she “loved” her time on the show.
Others confirmed for the new series include Coughlan’s Bridgerton co-star Simone Ashley, as well as Rhea Norwood, Lesley Nicol, Kathryn Hunter and former Doctor Who actress Jodie Whittaker.
The show’s fifth series featured a star-studded cast, including Oscar-winning actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Inside Out star Richard Kind and Emmy-winner Nathan Lane.
Only Murders In The Building has also previously featured the likes of Antman star Paul Rudd, actress and author Shirley MacLaine and Bridget Jones star Renee Zellweger.
The new 10-episode series will stream on Disney+ internationally.
