Olivia Attwood's pals deny she was pulled from I'm A Celeb after 'breaking Covid bubble'

Olivia Attwood's friends have denied she was pulled from the show because she broke the Covid bubble.

New claims last night say the Love Island star left the camp area for medical tests and this meant she broke the bubble and was unable to return.

But pals of Olivia insisted the decision to remove her was a result of medical tests and nothing to do with her being out of the main camp.

A source close to Olivia said: "The show is very covid safe but the so-called bubble is not the same as it was in Wales last year for the show.

"The reports about covid are not true and not the reason Olivia was forced to leave the jungle."

As the Mirror revealed yesterday, Olivia left the jungle after medics were concerned over the results of a health test in camp.

The 31-year-old was happy and content on the show but concerns were raised by a member of the crew following a standard test that the celebs do behind the scenes during the series.

After further checks were made away from the jungle it was ITV's decision to remove Olivia from the show.

At the time a friend said: "Olivia was very keen to continue and was gutted when she was told that having left camp for tests she was not going back. Her I'm A Celebrity journey was only just beginning and she is devastated."

ITV declined to comment further on the claims a bubble was broken.

They have been strict with the celebs before going onto the show, making them all isolate for seven days and have tested them for covid.

Olivia could in theory have tested for covid before returning to camp. And if she was seen on site by medics without going to hospital, they would also have already tested for covid.

In ITV's original statement regarding her departure, it made no reference to covid. A spokesman said: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

"Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show.”
