I'm A Celebrity fans were devastated when Olivia Attwood was forced to quit the show this week, with many hoping the Love Island alum would bring the drama.
Olivia, 31, is keeping tight-lipped about her exit and has promised to update fans when she's ready.
In a message posted to her Instagram account, her team said that whatever happened was 'beyond her control'.
"To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement. She dreamed of doing I'm a Celebrity for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would)," her team wrote.
"However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has."
"You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year."
So what caused her to leave the jungle so suddenly?
According to ITV, the decision was taken after the results of a health check raised concerns.
A rep explained: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks. Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show."
But what was the test for and what was ultimately the issue? Here we explore the main theories surrounding Olivia's shock return to the UK...
Covid rules
According to one source, Olivia was banned from re-entering the jungle amid fears she could have picked up covid after leaving the 'bubble' to undergo tests.
The insider claimed she would have needed to isolate for a week before returning, which would have given her an advantage against the other campmates.
"Obviously viewers at home couldn't include her in any votes, including selecting them for different challenges during the series," the insider told The Sun.
"Olivia would have been going back in almost halfway through the series, which simply wasn't fair.
"As frustrating and upsetting as that was for Olivia, who was willing to do whatever it took to go back, she could also see it was an impossible situation."
However, a friend close to the star confirmed to The Mirror that covid rules weren't an issue.
"The show is very covid safe but the so-called bubble is not the same as it was in Wales last year for the show," the pal explained.
"The reports about covid are not true and not the reason Olivia was forced to leave the jungle."
Test riddle
It's not know what the tests were that Olivia was forced to undergo, but one friend claimed it wasn't the result of any illness.
"This has nothing to do with her ADHD or anxiety," the pal said.
"Olivia wasn't feeling ill, unwell, she was perfectly fine. There was just something that came up which concerned the show's medical team and it escalated from there.
"The medical team runs tests with the celebs throughout the series to make sure they are all OK. Health and safety is paramount on a show like this where people are sleeping in a jungle and taking on huge challenges without much food or drink.
"Olivia was very keen to continue and was gutted when she was told that having left camp for tests she was not going back. Her I'm A Celebrity journey was only just beginning and she is devastated."
A show spokesman said: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks. Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show."
'Food poisoning'
Former contestant Vernon Kay pointed the finger straight at the Jungle VIP meal Olivia tucked into with Chris Moyles the night before she left.
"Them prawns sat in the sunlight all that time were never a good idea…" Vernon tweeted.
And a slew of fans were quick to jump on the speculation, agreeing that the seafood looked far from appealing.
"That was the first thing I noticed I would not have eaten anything off that," said one of the platter.
"Omg I said that I was shouting don't eat the prawns !!!!" a second added while a third echoed: "Just watching last night a day behind and I said I wouldn't eat that Seafood out in that sun."
Exit was 'planned' for drama
Another popular fan favourite is that Olivia's short stint and dramatic departure was nothing more than a publicity stunt.
"She was never going to stay, they really don't believe that the filming is for the duration and not an hour, then back to the hotel," one speculated.
" Olivia Attwood exit theories swirling around the internet… her exit was planned by ITV all along to create drama…she was only ever going to be there for a few days…she decided she could harvest more fame from TikTok," another added.
