Olivia Attwood's family have offered some 'clarification' on rumours as to why she was forced to quit I'm A Celebrity earlier this week, after reports that it was down to the show's 'strict' Covid protocol.
There was some shock news from the jungle on Monday when, just hours after the first episode of I'm A Celebrity' s new series went out on ITV, it was announced that ex Love Island finalist Olivia had already left and was on her way back to the UK. The official line of Olivia's exit was that she had to leave due to 'medical checks.' and then, as fans were left wondering what happened to Olivia, hosts Ant and Dec offered a brief explanation on Monday night's programme, with Dec saying: "Now, as you might have heard, unfortunately Olivia Attwood has left the jungle for medical reasons and won' be returning."
Ant added: "We're very sad to see her go and we wish her well," as the I'm A Celeb presenters' statement fuelled more speculation on the catalyst behind Olivia's departure.

And, as articles appeared online, claiming Olivia had to leave the jungle and then wasn't allowed to return due to Covid rules, a post appeared on her Instagram story which read: "For clarity, Olivia did not leave the jungle due to Covid reasons," with the person responsible for the post not offering any further details.
That post followed another on Olivia's story from Monday, which said: "To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement, she's dreamed of doing I'm A Celeb for years, and was absolutely loving every second and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).
"However, for reasons before her control her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as always has. You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year."
