Oliver Burke played a key role as Werder Bremen picked up a friendly comeback win.
The former Celtic loanee used his pace to latch on to a ball over the top before knocking the ball into the air out of the grasp of the goalkeeper. As he looked to get onto the ball his team-mate ran in and fired into the empty net to level up the scoring against SV Drochtersen/Assel.
The Scotland international was then the matchwinner as he drifted off to the left side and when the ball was played into his path he had the simple task of slotting the ball low beyond the advancing keeper to make it 2-1 to Werder as he showed the Bundesliga side what he is capable of after spending part of the campaign last term in the English Championship with Millwall.

Last season Burke scored in back to back German top flight games in the 95th minute to secure his side a point at home to Stuttgart followed up by a stunning win on the road at Dortmund. But with most of his match minutes coming from off the bench he made the move to England and secured much more game-time.
However, he is back in Germany looking to make an impression in pre-season and he has done his chances no harm so far ahead of the competitive return.
It's been a summer to remember for the speedy attacker who also proposed to partner Megan McKenna last month. She shared a video of the moment for her followers to watch on her Instagram profile.
Werder still have numerous friendly games before the competitive action takes place on August 12 in the DFB-Pokal first round against Viktoria Koln. It's then a season opener against champions Bayern Munich at home to kick-off the Bundesliga campaign for the 2023-24 season.
