Oleksandr Zinchenko reacts on Instagram after completing unique Arsenal 'hat-trick' vs Tottenham

Gabriel Jesus and William Saliba weren't the only Arsenal players experiencing a North London Derby for the very first time on Saturday afternoon.

Summer signing Fabio Vieira was afforded a taste of what this fixture is about after replacing captain Martin Odegaard with 10 minutes to go, whilst Matt Turner and Marquinhos got to sample the occasion from the sidelines as they had a watching brief from the substitutes bench.

With that said, another recent recruit, Oleksandr Zinchenko also made his bow for Arsenal this particular game, overcoming a calf muscle injury to return to the starting line-up - in place of Kieran Tierney at left-back - after missing the 3-0 win over Brentford before the international break.

Unlike Jesus and Saliba, the 25-year-old hasn't exactly been showered with too much praise following the Gunners' success in the derby. For example, he received an average rating in football.london's player ratings as he 'looked a little off the pace, was never particularly convincing in defence and his passing wasn't as crisp as usual'.

However, Zinchenko still managed to endear himself to some Arsenal supporters even further by repeating a trick that has seen him already become a favourite amongst the fanbase following his £32million arrival from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

It was during the 3-0 win over Bournemouth where it all began. As William Saliba opened his account for the club with a stunning strike and celebrated with the majority of his teammates, the absence of the Ukraine international was rather strange - but the reason was justified.

Clearly taken aback by the Frenchman's goal, Zinchenko stood motionless on the edge of the box with his hands on his head in disbelief. Moments later he dropped to his knees, holding his arms aloft almost in total amazement with regards to what his fellow defender had just produced.

Fast forward a week and there was perhaps an even better reaction from the Ukrainian in a game he wasn't even part of. A slight sprain to his left knee caused him to miss the 2-1 win over Fulham, but that didn't stop him from celebrating wildly on the bench and on the sideline after Gabriel Magalhaes' winner.

Completing the unique 'hat-trick' of amazing reactions to Arsenal goals so far this season, Zinchenko sunk to his knees once again after Granit Xhaka scored to make it 3-1, which generated a huge response on Reddit.

Taking to social media after the game, Zinchenko made note of just how special the atmosphere was inside the Emirates Stadium before sending a message that will only improve his standing amongst supporters even more: "North London is RED!," he wrote on Instagram. "Massive 3 points! Still long way to go! Let’s go Gunners. Fans were unreal."
