So far it has been a decent start for the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are 2-3. Not bad considering Chet Holmgren hasn’t set foot on the court.
Playing time however, has been tough to come by, given the Thunder have so much young talent they are trying to evaluate. Ousmane Dieng and Jaylin Williams have been sent to the Thunder’s G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.
Both players have great potential, and the Thunder need to get all of their players as much experience as possible. Dieng has averaged just 1.8 points per game while shooting just 22.2% from the field. He desperately needs game time to figure out what he can bring to the team.
Williams also has struggled to find game time. He has played in one game, playing eight minutes and scoring four points. In a loaded front court where even Aleksej Pokusevski is struggling to keep his starting job, it is hard to find fault with this move.

Williams has massive potential as his vision and passing ability is very good. He just needs to work on other parts of his game so this will be a great move for him as well. This is a great move for the Thunder long term as they will continue to accelerate this rebuild. Both guys will be crucial for years to come.
