Oil India discovers natural gas in Krishna-Godavari Basin, records peak flow of 200,000 SCMD

Oil India Ltd (OIL) has discovered natural gas in a shallow-water offshore block in the Krishna-Godavari Basin, with testing recording a peak flow rate of 200,000 standard cubic metres per day (SCMD), the company said Friday.

The state-owned explorer that the discovery was made in the previously unappraised Matsyapuri formation in a block secured through recent Discovered Small Field (DSF) bid rounds.
