Ohio woman says she kept getting pulled over for speeding only when she was in her car. Then she learns she was registered as a black woman

It’s one thing to hear about systemic issues, but it’s another thing entirely when you’re living through them because of an administrative error. A content creator, Lisa, recently took to TikTok and Instagram to share a wild, eye-opening series about how she realized she had been legally classified as an African American woman in the state of Ohio for a decade. She alleged that this bureaucratic mistake led to a consistent pattern of being targeted by law enforcement.

In her first video, Lisa explains how hearing a news report about racial disparities in traffic stops encouraged her to share her story. She claimed that when she was 18, she had a ticket she forgot about. That, however, then turned into a night in the Hamilton County Justice Center when she was stopped because her boyfriend allegedly antagonized a police officer. She ended up in a holding cell for hours, a terrifying experience, but never put any other thought to it.
