The transfer portal is a part of college football and although it should be a good thing that these student-athletes are able to seek opportunities elsewhere, it is always slightly sad when they decide they have to leave Ohio State.
The transfer portal doesn’t officially open up until Monday, but a few Buckeyes have already made it clear of their intentions to leave. If it seems like Victor Cutler just arrived to Columbus, you would be right as he was an addition from the portal last season.
Cutler was expected to start at center after he joined Ohio State after departing from Louisiana-Monroe, but it was pretty clear that the jump from the Sun Belt Conference to the Big Ten may have been more than he expected as he was relegated to the back of the depth chart and only saw action in four games. Cutler has one season of legibility remaining and we wish him good luck.
