With no defensive tackles committed in the current recruiting class, Ohio State got a bit of good news on Wednesday morning. Jayden Jackson, a three-star recruit out of Bradenton, Florida, trimmed his list of suitors to five with the Buckeyes making the cut.
Don’t let the three-star status fool you. Jackson has offers from all the big boys and will most likely move up the rankings over the course of his senior year. Jackson worked his way into the rotation at powerhouse IMG Academy as part of a defense that only gave up three points per game. He had 17 tackles with six being for a loss.
Joining Ohio State on the shortlist are Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, and Texas.
First and foremost I want to thank God for his continuous blessings, I also would like to thank my Mom for everything that she has done for me. With that being said I will be taking the next step in my recruiting process. TOP 5 pic.twitter.com/eDYEy1UR74

OSU got in early with Jackson hosting the 300-pound defensive lineman at the June 16, 2022 summer camp. The Buckeyes then offered the big man back in early January of this year.
There is no timeline for a commitment, however, the highly rated class is offense heavy and needs to add some big bodies in the trenches. Jackson could fit the description nicely.
