In football, injuries are a part of the game, and Ohio State Football has been bitten by that bug before.
As for the 2023 season, until today, there were no injuries of note for the Buckeyes. Unfortunately, that has changed. Linebacker Kourt Williams has suffered the second torn ACL of his Ohio State career and will miss the season.
It’s a blow to Williams, who suffered the same injury as a freshman in 2020, also during preseason camp. The fourth-year player made the switch from safety to linebacker and was going to provide solid depth this season.
Day said LB Kourt Williams tore an ACL. Another major injury for a guy who's had too many. Day said he feels terrible for him.

The good news is the Buckeyes are still in good shape at the position. Both starters from last season, Steele Chambers and Tommy Eichenberg return while CJ Hicks and Cody Simon are the presumed backups.
