Ohio State lands yet another highly touted receiver for the third straight day

OK. This is getting ridiculous. Ohio State landed 5-star receiver Carnell Tate on Monday, then got good news from another 5-star receiver, Brandon Inniss on Tuesday. And now … the Buckeyes just received a verbal commitment from high 4-star receiver Noah Rogers on Wednesday.

Rogers, out of the Raleigh-Durham area in North Carolina, had been considered an OSU lean, but also had NC state, North Carolina, Florida State, and Clemson in his final five. All indications had it coming down the Buckeyes and Wolfpack at the wire, but in the end, the development Rogers will get from Ryan Day and Brian Hartline appear to have been too much to pass up.

At 6-foot, 2-inches, and 180-pounds, Rogers is ranked as the No. 9 receiver and 50th overall prospect in the 2023 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Many expect him to climb the recruiting rankings and eventually end up a 5-star, but we’ll have to wait to see how that all pans out.

Getting three top ten receivers in three days blows away any recruiting momentum I’ve ever seen from any school at any point since these things have been tracked so diligently. It sets Ohio State up for more explosive offenses for years to come. Not to mention, blue-chip quarterbacks will continue to look toward Columbus with so many weapons to throw to.

What’s happening in recruiting at Ohio State is almost unbelievable at the moment, and we’ll have to see if further fireworks happen in the near future.

These things seem to come in bunches, and that looks like what we’re seeing right now.
